Cultural heritage, emblematic places.

Saint Spyridon Church, known as Greek (Cargèse) Opposite the Latin church, it overlooks the harbor. Under the nave or on its small shaded square, you won't believe your eyes nor your heart.

Catholic Church of the Assumption, known as Latin (Cargèse) Opposite the Greek church, it also offers you a view of the port and the sea, and a sumptuous place of meditation.

To find out more about Cargèse and its two churches :-)

Paomia (cradle of Cargèse) Cargèse is overlooked by the hamlet of Paomia which is its cradle, 15 minutes away by car (accessible on foot and by bike for the more athletic!). The climb to Paomia takes you to the height of a bird of prey, linking together panoramas, each more beautiful than the last.

Genoese Tower of Umigna A magnificent walk from Cargèse or Peru beach, mind-blowing on days when the sea is rough…

Le Hameau de Revinda 15 minutes by car from Cargèse, it overlooks several gulfs and offers beautiful shaded walks. For those who don't mind walking, you can reach the old Revinda copper mines in 6 hours round trip. The production of flower honey is a delight (sold in the hamlet and at the SPAR in Cargèse).

Genoese Tower of Porto Just 20-25 minutes from Cargèse (after Piana), a surprisingly square tower, right in the middle of the most beautiful gulf on the island. A splendor.

The Sanguinaires Islands (Ajaccio) A mythical and protected place whose name stimulates the imagination (whether historical or visual) without limits. To quote Charles Baudelaire, "The sun has set in its congealing blood..."
